Sonya Ziaja has been selected to speak at the Elsevier Environmental Health 2013 conference in Boston. She will present a paper she co-authored on the use of recycled wastewater for commercial applications in the mountain regions of the Southwest.

Spread the word: Ziaja Group LLP is now taking clients, focusing on federal environmental whistleblowers and military contractors working abroad. What started as a legal research shop in 2010 is now a full-fledged law practice, with plans to keep growing. While we’re technically California-based, we’re a boutique firm with a national and international orientation.

The third edition of the Global Administrative Law casebook is now freely available on a chapter-by-chapter basis. Andrew Ziaja contributed sections to the first and second chapters. The casebook is a project of the Institute for International Law and Justice at New York University School of Law, as well as the Istituto di Ricerche sulla Pubblica Amministrazione in Rome.

Andrew Ziaja’s research was recently featured in a new casebook by law professor Ronald C. Brown, East Asian Labor and Employment Law: International and Comparative Context. His work on the weight of ILO decisions in United States courts comprises a section of the casebook relating to global legal standards. The casebook is targeted to international lawyers, businesspeople, and policymakers. It is available through Cambridge University Press.

Andrew Ziaja recently interviewed historian Paul Friedland, an affiliate of the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies at Harvard University and a fellow of the Shelby Cullom Davis Center for Historical Studies at Princeton University (2011-2012). They spoke about Friedland’s new book, Seeing Justice Done: The Age of Spectacular Capital Punishment in France (Oxford University Press, 2012).
